I have played in a variety of bands/duos/solo for longer than I care to remember.
I have played Rock and Roll, worked on the Folk circuit even sung in an occasional opera!
Mark and I have been playing together in bands for over 20 years (remember
‘Rising Damp’ and ‘Sound Advice’? Who thought they were good names? I blame the whisky!) We went on to form
the band that is now The Angels Share, the best bunch of guys and band I have ever worked with.
I have an ever changing collection of guitars including, at the moment,
a 6 and 12 String Ovation, a Fender Stratocaster and an even more impressive collection of Single Malt Whiskies.
On stage, I play a Takomini 6 String, a 6-string Yamaha ‘Silent Guitar’ and a
Gibson Les Paul Studio. I drink Single Malt Whiskies if any one is feeling charitable otherwise Guinness is always welcome!
Interests include mountaineering, weight training and keeping fit, golf, rugby and single
malt whiskies (have I already mentioned this?)
Musical influences: - Runrig, Wolfstone, Capercaille, Mark Knopfler, Eva Cassidy,
Green Day, John Denver (sorry Oz but I still rate him as a song writer) and Talisker (the greatest single malt whisky).
