Richard Jenkins Lead Vocals, 6 and 12 String Guitars
Background:
I have been playing in bands for longer than I care to admit. I have played rock and roll, worked the folk circuit and even sung in an occasional opera!
Mark (Oz) and I have been playing together in bands for over 15 years. We went on to form the band that is now The Angels Share, the best bunch of guys and band I have ever worked with.
Kit:
On stage, I play a Takamine 6 String, a Gibson Les Paul Standard or a Les Paul Studio if a string breaks on the Standard, very occasionally a Fender Stratocaster and even more rarely an Ovation 12 String.
Influences:
Runrig, Wolfstone, Dropkick Murphy's, Mark Knopfler, Green Day, Queen, Tracy Chapman (what a brilliant lyricist!), and Talisker (the greatest single malt whisky).
Oh and Gary Ashton, because he has a degree in music although he rarely mentions it!
Interests:
Interests include mountaineering, weight training and keeping fit, golf (losing to Rob Watson), rugby (supporting the Saints) and single malt whiskies (I may have already mentioned this)
